If the Rain Comes They Run and Hide Their Heads

sweatshirt GAP | dress (worn as a skirt) SM Girls' Teen Wear | stockingsH&M | beret Forever21

I thought it would stop raining this weekend, but lo and behold, it started raining again :)) and because of that, I had the opportunity once again to wear stockings! When I bought the stockings for Strawberry Fields, it was a pack of two, one with small polka dots and the other, this one, with bigger polka dots. They're so cute and funky.

I decided to wear an oversized sweater because it's so comfortable, especially in this kind of weather. The sweater I was able to get was so cozy and soft. It's the perfect sleep-in or movie marathon kind of sweater. Although I did not do any of those, I did watch the DLSU vs. ADMU game (where La Salle lost, btw :( but that's okay!) I decided to wear a pastel colored skirt to lighten up the mood filled with dark colors. It lightened up the whole feel of the outfit, didn't it? Also, I really like my sparkly beret! It may be black, but it still shines and doesn't look to gloomy.

Comments and suggestions are much appreciated!

HAPPY 114th INDEPENDENCE DAY to all Filipinos out there!

Has it really been that long since Rizal, Bonifacio, and all our other heroes fought against foreign powers for our freedom? Yes, it has-which is why it's always such a celebration for us. Come to think of it, our country is very young when it comes to being independent and being on our own. To some people, they may feel like they're ashamed to be from here, but I am proud to be a Filipino. We are a strong and clever race who can survive almost anything we face, and although others make us feel inferior at times, we still find a way to stand out, be ourselves and put a smile on our faces.

I don't know if you can tell, but I'm wearing an Independence Day outfit :)) my outfit consists of the colors of the Philippine Flag. My blue top, which is at the upper part of my body because it's in the upper part of the flag(which symbolizes freedom) is a sequined filled blouse. I chose this because I wanted blue to be the dominant color of the outfit because it is Independence Day and our focus is freedom(?) hahaha (I'm weird, i know!). I wore red for my shoes because [in our flag] it symbolizes war, which should be under or below freedom. I didn't know how to incorporate yellow in my outfit, so instead I wore a gold collar necklace, and ta-da! There goes my outfit :)

comments are much appreciated.

Christmas Glitter

so assuming as i am.. i thought you guys would want to see what i wore for Christmas Eve. :D it's a little sloppy in pictures because i was already a little tired during the time these pictures were taken (and if you notice i did not include my face in those pictures haha) I wore a sequin-embellished top and to balance its sparkle i wore a tweed skirt. Plus, the season gave me an excuse to wear a sparkly top that I wouldn't wear on any other normal day. Lately I've been trying to mix patterns and fabrics, mainly because I think pairing that particular top with just a plain skirt would make it look kind of boring, plain and very average, so i opted for a skirt that had a bit of a pattern, but at the same time complemented the top. I didn't wear any necklaces because it would be a little too much seeing that the top already has enough detail to liven up the upper part of my body. A necklace would make the whole outfit look confusing, and I didn't want that, though if you would like to wear a necklace with this kind of top i suggest it to be a choker kind of necklace that would only go down to below the collar bone and its color should complement the top. I do think wearing earrings would be better with this top though, rather than a necklace. As for the ring, I chose a gold color connector ring because i wanted the color to sort of pop from the color pallet of my outfit. The way it is a connector ring also gives itself attention, and that way I only had to wear one ring, as compared to three nice colored rings.
