(Late post!) So it rained today and it gave me sort of an excuse to wear a colorful sweater and boots during the summer. It's been really hot (like really hot) lately and a bit of a shower over the country was much appreciated. Comments/suggestions are welcome! :)

Some days you just take good pictures, and some days you don't. This is one of those days =)) You ever get that feeling when you thought you took good photos because the DSLR camera's photo viewer is so small and the sun is so bright, and when you start editing it in the computer it turned out not so good.. yeah I'm getting that feeling right now bahaha. I decided to post anyway because I like this outfit and I decided to add it to my outfit portfolio :) 

So today we decided to view some model units and look at the place my parents are planning to buy as our (their?) home. I decided to kinda dress down and chill because I knew it'd be hot and we would be moving from one place to another very quickly. Yes, it is quite loose and doensn't define my shape too well, but I just opted for something very roomy and flowy this time - something I could easily move in.

It's Sunday today, which means Family Day (FTW!) My family and I just had a casual lunch after church at MOA and remembered that there's a Forever21 shop there now. After eating lunch, we decided to go there and check out how it looks and check if there's anything we might like. Right when I stepped in, I immediately became nostalgic because that's how the Forever21 looks like in the mall near where we used to live in the States. After a few rounds, I was able to pick up some stuff. I swear, everytime I'm in a Forever21 store, I always get overwhelmed by the hundreds of clothes that are in there.

While we were walking around the mall, I noticed this Painting Exhibit that MOA had in the middle of their activity center. For some reason, SM's getting all artsy today because beside that there was a Photo Exhibit (which I wasn't able to look at because of hunger reasons :P ).

As usual, the weather was being bipolar again because this morning it was perfectly sunny then it started raining really hard again.

Today, a few of my High School batch mates and I went back to our school to greet one of our favorite teachers a Happy Birthday. Although it isn't her exact birthday yet, we decided to visit her because her real birthday is on a weekend. It was fun being able to catch up on people's lives and reminisce on how we used to be back in high school. We talked about our little adventures and memories back in that school. Apparently, shorts are not allowed to be worn there, so I was hiding a bit from the personnel. I didn't know that it wasn't allowed because they let me in! :)) We found out because some of our batch mates weren't able to get in so easily, but it was all good when we were already inside. 

I was so glad to have found these shorts! Usually, the one-sized high waisted shorts in tiangges don't fit me because I think they are more leaned to Filipina girl sizes(which are small), and I have big hips. Well not so big, but not as small as average Filipinas, so when I saw these shorts, tried them on and they fit me, I just had to buy them-because i barely find any in my size! haha. Besides, I really like their color because I'm very into pastel-turquoisey color these days. As for my necklace, I bought it during my school's bazaar for it's centennial closing celebration for a very good price(P200 or roughly about $4) without shipping :")

I took this rare opportunity to take pictures in Bonifacio High Street because there were no people outside! haha not a single soul was out there (okay maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but I swear there were barely anyone outside). This is because today is Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley's boxing match. Everyone was watching and anticipating who will win this really talked about fight. Unfortunately, Pacquiao lost, which brought great distraught to the people in the restaurant where we were eating/watching, but I guess it is inevitable for people to lose or fail at something within their lifespan, and this would be one of those times for Manny. He can this take as constructive criticism and an opportunity to train more. (and he's trending on twitter!)


No, I am not peachy because he lost. It just so happens that I chose to wear peach today(maybe I thought he would win?). I really like this color because it feels very clean and dainty, but not too girly(?)Well anyway, the dress was very flowy and I liked the cut because it wasn't challenging to wear compared to a dress that would have spaghetti straps, etc. I chose nude wedges because I wanted to be comfortable in church and I wanted to have a neutral color because the color of my dress is very pleasant(not loud) to the eyes, and I wanted to keep it that way.

Aside from the excitement from the boxing fight today, I was also very excited to receive a package today. No, not from a special someone or a shipment from an online store, but a package from the province. During the time I was in the province last summer, I had the chance to look at my parents' old clothes that they store there in case they needed or something like that, and I stumbled upon these cute vintage pieces that were my parents' clothes from when they were younger. I instantly fell in love with the patterns, colors, and I was surprised that these clothes are actually quite trendy nowadays and are acceptable to wear again. So while I was there, I chose some clothes that I liked, but then I forgot to bring them here in Manila so I had them sent here. My favorite one is this long black dress that had this flower lace detail in the chest area and is almost long enough to be a maxi. I have so many ideas on how to wear these clothes or how to alter them, and I'm so excited to incorporate them in future outfits!

It's so difficult to go around the school dress code, especially in this hot weather. Most of my sleeveless tops are either spaghetti straps or razerbacks- and you can't wear that to school! So I'm glad I found a top that's perfect for the weather and the same time wearable to school. Also, it goes with the season, summer. Also, today seemed to have more rain clouds than the usual number during summer ;) and so i decided to wear something that wasn't too bright but still colorful for summer. 

My top reminded me of a vintage wallpaper, the ones you would see in old rooms. I wish my wallpaper was like that :)).. and about the collar necklace, I've been planning to purchase one, but then for a while I thought everyone had it and it was being overused. The other day, I went shopping with my mom and saw a bunch of detachable collars and collar necklaces and so I gave one a try. I definitely love how it makes the outfit pop a bit, and I will definitely will be buying more soon :)
