Pop Goes My Heart

top x shorts Forever21 | shoes Sperry | bracelets Bedazzle Accessories

From what I can remember, this was a happy dappy day (hence all the smiling and the jump shot). It was just a casual lunch date with my family, and although I was sick that day, I decided to go with them because it's been really busy in school and I feel like I've been spending a lot of my time there. And of course I'm glad my siblings are on full 100% back up-my brother fixing some "glitches" he finds on my outfits and my sister behind the lens doing her thing. Oh! and I was able to sell some stuff to some relatives (which I have to advertise here very soon hihi).

i should seriously think of better poses haha

Quick post everyone, and I can't make this too long.
It's almost finals and there are projects here and there, and the professors are catching up on the things they haven't taught yet. There are classes on Holidays and alternative classes on weekends -_- it's quite frustrating, but then again there's nothing I can do about it. Also, I never thought there were so many yearbook requirements and processes, but maybe because I crammed it hihi. To all those who are having exams soon (may it be midterms or finals), goodluck to all of us! :) I won't be posting as often as I'd like to in the coming weekends, but I'll be back very soon.

All Natural

This is A DIY project that I'll be posting within the week :)
 being an awkward bunny
I saw these at the ceiling of Tiendesitas and never really had the opportunity to take pictures of them until now.

Happy Sunday everyone! :)

You may be wondering why I named this post 'All Natural'. The only(and very shallow, too) reason I did was because I my hair in the pictures above is my natural hair when I don't fix it. Yes, it's a little sloppy joe and it makes my face look a little chubbier than usual, but that's okay.

Also, I'm not sure if any of you noticed that I'm very into polkadots lately? Yes, I am hihi. I never grew out of that trend. Oohh, and last but not the least, I am very proud to have made another set of DIY accessories(thanks to my friend for the idea!). I will post an instructional sometime this week.

p.s. It may be very unlike me, but I'm actually excited to go to school tomorrow. hihi

DIY: Ombre Tassle Earrings

Hi everyone!! As I was looking through my facebook newsfeed, I noticed that a lot of people are selling accessories. It may not look it, but I have a very tight budget for shopping on my own, and I just can't afford everything that I see. The accessories, especially in malls, are expensive and I noticed that some of them can be easily made.

This is my first DIY, so please bear with me hihi :)

Materials:

  1. chain. I bought 2 yards because the lady at Carolina's wouldn't let me buy if it wasn't in yards. You can decide on how thick your chain is and its color.
  2. jack hooks. (2) uhh i think that's what they're called? correct me if I'm wrong
  3. earring hooks (2)
  4. paint of your color choice. I was going for a neon yellow, but they ran out. Also, if you have a open space you can use spray paint, it'll be easier and it'll stick to your chains more.
  5. masking tape. -this one i only thought about using when I was already done with the project, but it'll be very helpful when you're painting the chains.
Overall Cost: P105 ($2.33)
-the jack and earring hooks come in packs so you can use the remaining for future use

Instructions:
  1. Cut the chains to the desired length and quantity. Mine were 4.5 inches long; 5 chains per earring.
  2. Paint the chains up to where you want it to have color. Mine was 3 inches from the bottom. Put masking tape on the part where you don't want color so that the color becomes even and paint doesn't spread on it.
  3. Wait until the paint dries so that they won't stick together.
  4. Gather the chains in one jack hook.
  5. Add the earring hook to each jack hook.
Voila! Your earrings are now done :)
*Note: if you used a matte kind of paint and want the colored part to be as shiny as the unpainted part, you can use clear nail polish. This holds the color on the earrings as well.

top ( i actually forgot where I bought this top from -___-) | shorts x sandals Forever21

So yes, this is how I wore my ombre tassle earrings. I like all these colors mashing up together in one outfit. I like how the earrings brighten it up, and it wasn't even expensive nor hard to make!

Peace on Earth

top Hand-Me-Down from my Mom :) (more like I stole it from her closet hihi) | leggings Forever21| belt Bench

As I was looking for files for school, I stumbed upon these photos that I was too busy to post earlier. So now, after I am sorta done with school things, I decided to post this outfit. From what I can remember, the day I wore this was when we were going to watch "The Dictator" in the movie theatre because my dad found the trailer funny, but we weren't able to push through because it was an R-13 film and my sister is only 9. We decided to eat a shmancy dinner instead.

The leggings I'm wearing are so comfortable and colorful (very me) , and I was in the mood for wearing them at the time and felt lazy to dress it up, which is why i just wore an oversized shirt with it. Also, I remember it wasn't a very cold day so I decided not to wear an oversized sweater. I especially like the belt because it's so cute! I like that it has holes all around it's body so that I didn't have to worry if the holes were far enough, etc.

As another result of me having no school, I was browsing through the internet for nice photo editing softwares that could be in lieu of using Adobe Lightroom, and I found this software called Picasa. I'm not a very Photoshop-y person for this blog becasuse I mainly post outfits(or maybe I'm just lazy to use legit Photoshop hihi). Well anyway, actually I had it on my computer before when I was still in high school, but found Photoscape easier to use. Anyway, I downloaded it again and tried their editing tools. What do you guys think of my photo's effects this time? :) I'm still deciding whether to stick to my old editing style(cool colors) or stick to this one(warm colors),please let me know your thoughts :)

Hippie Printed Pants

top Market! Market! tiangge | pants Thrifted :) | sandals Forever21
I'm amused by the pop art-ness of this picture, so I decided to post it

Rainy season has not yet ended, which is why lazy season isn't over yet either (bahaha). It's been stressful in school lately, maybe because it's almost finals, and a lot of people are barely getting weekends. With so many dates to remember and due dates moved earlier, it sending my groupmates and I to a headache trip, which is why I decided to wear something really comfortable and light today. I've been wearing jeans and sweaters the whole week and it's been really heavy. This light and breezy outfit is perfect for a short rest after the mounds of things I have to do.

I know I know, they look like pajamas (no?), but I find them very funky. I also like the pattern because it's very vintage and not something you would easily see or find at a department store. I was originally wearing a hat (as seen at the top photo), and yes it looks lopsided there, but I took it off after a while because the wind was really strong. I even had to tie my hair because my curls were getting all defused.

As part of my temporary weekend in my weekend, my family and I went to the mall to have dinner and lo and behold we stumble upon a book sale, and I looove books and reading novels. I haven't been reading novels lately because it's either I don't have time or when I do get time, I use that time to rest from the activities from school. So from there, I got a couple of books in which my favorite steal is the James Patterson Private novel. James Patterson is my favorite writer because mystery/suspense is my favorite genre more than anything else, and he writes so well in that particular field. I can't wait for the term break for me to be able to read these books (though it would be perfect now because of the weather hihi), and the most exciting part was that all of those books only costed P500 (about $10) in total. It was so overwhelming chosing the books I was going to get.

comments and suggestions are much appreciated! :)
